A suprise only comes when you aren’t expecting it…otherwise it wouldn’t be a suprise.
People have the power to suprise you and you have the power to suprise yourself.

Sometimes it’s good, other times it can be heartbreaking…

“Tomorrows” always come… you can’t stop them, change them, rewind or fast forward them… but you can waste them.

One ”tomorrow” you may wake up surprised at who you are and where you’ve made it in life….and sadly, you may even realize that you could’ve been more, done more, changed more, loved more, listened more, smiled more, prayed more… and the good news is that it won’t be too late… unless of course, it’s your last tomorrow.

You can change today… but you can’t change tomorrow when you don’t have any “tomorrows” left.

…He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish… 2 Peter 3:9

“Benaiah chased a lion down into a pit.
Then, despite the snow and slippery ground,
he caught the lion and killed it.”

I’ve always viewed blogs as a personal point of view into the inner depths of a multi-layered thought process. I never thought of myself as someone strong enough- or wise enough- to provide my soul as an open book to the rest of the world.

And yet, here I am… chasing my lion.

I’ve increasingly found myself with much to express and an ironic craving to be vulnerable. I’m running head on into the one thing I struggle with most often: fear of rejection and judgement.

I am jumping into the pit of vulnerability during a dark storm and I will bare the reality of struggles and fear in the hope of single handily killing “my lion” with the only weapons I have: faith and strength.

This is not a natural response for me…but I think it’s about time I do something risky.

I’m starting a new chapter in my life and I hope that you will join my journey… it’s sure to be an interesting ride.
